Together with my OIC, we led this team during the Secondary One Orientation Camp in 2019.

I was also able to emcee for one of the segments during the Orientation Camp itself.

I was a student of Riverside Secondary School from 2016 to 2019. During my time there, I was fortunate to be appointed as the Vice-President of the Student Council. It gave me loads of opportunity and exposure organising and managing an event. I was also grateful that I was able to organise events to help those in my community.
SECONDARY ONE ORIENTATION CAMP 2019
I was the AIC and co-led the event with 40 Student Leaders, around 70 Orientation Group Leaders, and around 200 Secondary One students. We had to ensure all committees are on task with their assigned work and crafted proposals whilst liaising with teacher IC for approval. Conducting dry run sessions in school was also important to ensure a smooth flow of the event.
OTHER PROJECTS

Designed by our Training Head, we also went around delivering flyers to the residents.

These were all the members involved in making the care & repair project a successful and enjoyable one.

My EXCOs and I that organised and led the event.

NORTHWEST CARE & REPAIR PROJECT 2018
Every year, the student council team would organise a block party event for the residents near the school. In 2018, we planned out an event for the elderly, on the theme 'Zumba' to promote healthy lifestyle. Around 30 councillors were involved and as the AIC, l learnt a lot liaising with external stakeholders and since it was a public event, being able to think on my feet if any problems surfaced.
CULTURAL EXCHANGE PROGRAMME (INDIA)
In 2018, a group of us were selected to go on a Cultural Exchange Programme to India. One of the activities we did was a 3-day visit to the village school. Even with the language barrier, we communicated with the students through gestures and simple words. It touched me to see how happy and eager the children were to learn. The children did not complain and it opened my eyes to not take things for granted. Many of us also teared up on the last day because of how much the visit had impacted us.
